The very long weekend is not spent well. I have spent at most 30 minutes for academic work, most of it worrying about postponed 141 presentation. A lot of it spent sleeping, and eating (or more like gorging on food, although that's the same in my book). Anyway, shift to the Great 141 Overnight. And when I say 141 I mean, Temptation Island.
So, TI is overly popular these days, because of the hilarious youtube videos. Heck, they even have a compilation of the "best" of TI. That only means we watched a few videos. I was never the same ever since.
Here is my favorite quotes from the movie:
1. "Bertdey na naman ng bruha..."
2. "Sabihin mo kay Vicente, ihanda ang Mercedes Charcoal Gray.."
3. "Careful, careful now.." (while Deborah Sun is rubbing the upper part of the bida/kontrabida's chest; this was supposed to be erotic back then)
4. "What are bitches for but to bitch around with other bitches..."
There are lots more (you should go ahead to youtube and watch them), and they are equally funny, but realize that this movie is actually a Bomba film in the 70s.
I actually accomplished little in this overnight of ours, but Jasser and I managed to finish the Inter-U video, which I will be uploading here as soon as it makes its world premiere on Aug 22. Anyway, just sitting or sleeping or eating with friends on a rainy day is fun. Except that they were preoccupied with their anime/games while I was trying to study for EgyE exam, and falling asleep every 10 words or so. The EgyE lectures are hopeless, as far as staying awake is concerned. That's why I erased all the puyat I had on the first few days of the week, mainly because of the early wake-ups because I need to travel 1.5 hours (if the traffic is okay) to get to school. But I keep sleeping when I travel.
Unfortunately, my 1.5-hour trip home yesterday lasted 4 hours. I left Janine's at 5 pm, and was at MRT Ayala at 6 pm, but got home at 9 pm. The SLEX part was 3 hours: 1 hour before we reached Skyway tollgate, 1.2 hours to Sucat 0.5 hours to Alabang and 0.3 hours for the jeep and trike ride. I hope I get less of this as I continue going home from school every day. I still resent not having an apartment close to school anymore. And I have good reasons. Like the other day when I almost died, because a man was hurrying to get off the MOVING bus. I was first at the bus' door and he kept pushing me. The bus was still moving so I didn't want to get off. But because of his persistent pushing and grumbling, he managed to push me out of the bus. AND, I clung on a part of the bus and swinged outside as the bus slows down. It was a scene out of an action movie, and perhaps funny for the spectators. but MY LIFE AND/OR FACE WAS AT STAKE, so no laughing. But of course, I can laugh it off now. One quote from the man who probably had a full bladder or something, "Haharang-harang ka, di ka naman pala bababa!". Right, like I would jump from a moving bus. You should try it sometime, on Skyway when the bus seems to be ready to take off (like an airplane).
And, I should really focus on this Plant Design thingy. It might help me graduate. Or something.
