the way I was

I just wanted to put two recent photos of me in this post.

This is me at the UPPC wastewater treatment facility. Now, let me hear you say "RAWR!".

And this is me and Maynard (the manong atop the cannon) at Intramuros. I don't look fat in this picture,
ja?

Good times, good times.

the good, the bad, and the lazy

The week wasn't totally useless. Due to the transport strike last Tuesday, I had to have rides with Papa (who planned ahead and brought Lola's van to work). And because they have this prayer meeting/mass thing on Tuesday nights, I had to come along. Luckily, this Tuesday was the fifth anniversary of Serviam, and there was only a mass. But no anniversary is ever complete without food. I mean, catered food! Yay! I not only get to eat catered food for two days straight (the first was last Monday at the CAPES, semi-catered sem ender), but I also got to hear mass by Cardinal Rosales (Archbishop of Manila). I also got to make mano (this sounds totally conyo but is there an English term for this?). It was a big thing for me, him being the most popular clergyperson in the country.

The CAPES sem ender made me happy too. Due to receipt of a large quantity of shampoo, food and leche flan.

The seminar we held yesterday was very successful, despite the slight booboos on the credentials of Dr. Soriano. It's not all on us. Her CV said 'acting chair'. I delivered a formula speech on my opening remarks slot (this usually required group heads to research, but I wanted to be cool and different, so...LOLZ). The food was great and our group ate the Ube cake that was supposed to be, uhm, hmmm. Yeah. That couldn't be said here. Anyway, three newsletters to go and were done.

Let me take the opportunity to thank the Seminar staff especially Carlo and Mils, Sharra, Yacel, Mercy, Dale, Hannah and Clarene.

We still haven't made big progress on our 142 palnt design. It is brought about by many factors. Anyway, maybe if I keep blogging this, it would be done (just like magic, eh?). [Perhaps, you'd say, "Get your ass off blogging and start the damn project!". But I'd like to see you try the project.]

I had a lot of time yesterday, after the seminar. The Kraft interview was moved to Monday so I was left with nothing planned for the afternoon. Of course, I can wander aimlessly at the desert of equipment design, but I did something better: Virtual Villagers and Chocolatier. In the professor's point of view, however, this is a sure shot way of not graduating in a month. In my point of view, this is pure bliss. Laziness, of course. But happy virtual fun! I want to thank the people who made this possible: the ones who installed these, I'm guessing Carlo or Kathy. Rest assured, you wiull not be blamed for any untoward incident that may happen to my academic career. It's all me. *sells a huge batch of Extra-Dark Choco Bars, kaching!*

There is something I can't get off my head. And I still don't know if it's good or bad. But it's not lazy.

very angry

The recent event regarding the elections has made people very angry. That question was very inappropriate. But what should we expect from people who don't have half a brain to train people to work properly? Well, the people who are "academically excellent" should also have right judgement, and tact, for that matter.

Anyways, please vote for the people who actually have what it takes.

and Ivanz Espiritu for ESC Councilor

Congratulations to the first half of the new executive council of KEM. Especially Fritz and Maynard. May Fritz continue the legacy of excellence of PRC (lolz).

Congatulations also to Carla Co for receiving the Gawad Chancellor para sa Pinakamahusay na Estudyante. And also to all the Gawad awardees, who, I'm sure are very deserving.

March is starting today, and we've got 18 more days till the end of classes. For the first time in my life, I never wanted the classes to end. Mainly because we haven't exactly started the whole plant design thing. We are doomed. But I'm sure we'll pull through. But barely.
