dog days

there are two big dogs (3.5-foot ones) running around in the 200m road between our house and lola's house.
---
i live in a very quiet neighborhood. and quiet may not seem a good word, at least for this instance. the silence is too much disturbing. i mean among neighbors. well, people here do not care about their neighbors as other communities may do. every opportunity to interact is wasted. people merely exchange hellos and at very very lucky days, may share some (apparently, excess) food from parties.
----
people let their dogs out (no matter how big or small, tame or wild) of their gates so the dogs can you know, poo on someone else's territory. and of course, the boy with the silly phobia of dogs walks by, gets barked at, and perhaps get bitten (in his imagination). these dogs run about the place, and constantly scare children, or their parents, for their kids.
----
aside from the cars that may hit kids, these dogs (i think) are the reason why my parents never allow my little brothers to play outside the gate. i remember when i was about the same age as they are, i was playing on the streets. well, we have a dog that time. and he also used to bark at people passing by. people are also scared of passing by our house because of that dog, when he is outside. so we keep him inside the gate. thus, other dog-owners must too.
----
but they wont care anyway.
----
happy birthday to dot (oct 10) who turned 11.
